Social Media Pixels
We use tools known as pixels placed on our websites to track and better target our social media marketing. In most cases we are deemed the data provider and do not have access to the identities of those people’s data provided in this way. In these circumstances, the social media platform are deemed Data Controller and are responsible for the privacy of those individuals. We also use data collected from our customers for social media marketing. In these cases where we are deemed the Data Controller, we will not use personal details where the individual has told us that it is not ok to use their data for marketing purposes.
Customer Free WIFI
When you visit Willows Sports Centre/Megazone & use our free customer Wi-Fi we may collect data about your device, the amount of data which you use, the websites and applications which you access and your usage by access time and frequency.
Customer Mailing Lists
As part of the registration/booking processes for our services, we collect personal information. We use that information to tell you about products and services that we believe will be of interest to you and to inform you of important service information. We may also contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information, to check our records are correct and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Sign-Up To, to deliver communications via email and sms. We gather statistics around email/sms opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails/sms or by emailing our data protection officer at contactus@megazone-derby.co.uk.
Whatsapp & Messaging Platforms
We use Whatsapp and other messaging platforms to provide information to existing customers about the services they use via Broadcast Lists. Customers must opt-in to this service and may opt-out at any point. Whatsapp is an encrypted service and all messages are deemed secure.
CCTV
Willows Sports Centre/Megazone has CCTV cameras to protect its employees and customers, their belongings and to monitor footfall levels. Images are stored securely for a maximum of 7 days, at which point they are wiped and recorded over. Anyone wishing to access images must do so via an appropriate authority, such as the Police, at which point we will download and provide relevant footage for third party use. Images will not be distributed to unauthorised persons.
My Action Replay Cameras
Willows Sports Centre employs a third party company, My Action Replay, to provide innovative replay cameras on their sports courts. Footage of customers playing sports may be shown on screens within the Centre, shared on social media and downloaded onto portable storage devices to give to customers as part of their bookings. Such footage is for recreational purposes only. No footage of children is stored, shared, or distributed without explicit authorisation by a responsible adult in charge of a customer group or team.
